Ermanno Scalas is a master sculptor and pottery artist, though his expertise ranges far beyond that, including high relief, portraits, drawings, and paintings. Born in Oristano in the mid-50s, on the breath-taking island of Sardinia, Italy, he was later trained in the Vatican, so it comes as no surprise that his skill set should be so varied and unique. The Hollywood Sculpture Garden is proud to display two incredible hand-crafted lion sculptures (these are the original basis for the cast moulds that are subsequently created), alongside a set of pots, two of which shall be painted by Robby Gordon in a project that combines their creative skills.
